“Every day happier with the results of Bolívar on the big screen. It has added more and greater quality audiences. Those over the age of 40, who have been loyal since the first day, have been joined by adults and young people from all the regions who have stayed connected, children as well, and above all, women. Positioning a series on the big screen was a big challenge and we have definitely managed to do it. People are passionate about the story of Bolívar, his family and his love. Every day I receive messages of people in love with the story, the performances, the production and the art of the series. I tell them all: it is more and more exciting, more stunning. You won´t be able to stop watching it,” comments Juana Uribe, Channel VP at Caracol Televisión.
Bolívar is a super production that required rigorous research from a multidisciplinary team made up of two historians, a researcher, and three writers, including a psychiatrist. An innovative gaze to the story of the Liberator with simple and captivating storytelling.
The production group of Bolívar faced several challenges during the realization of the series. The team had to travel more than eight months to find the landscapes, cities, and towns where the life of the Liberator was recreated. More than 600 first-rate actors and some 6.000 extras took part in it.
