Campanario acquires rights from Warner Bros. International Television Production for first-ever local version of The Bachelor for Mexico

Los Angeles–based Campanario Entertainment announced that it has entered into an agreement with Warner Bros. International Television Production to produce the first-ever local adaptation of the global hit unscripted relationship series The Bachelor for the Mexican marketplace. Titled El Soltero, the Mexican adaptation of the hit series that promises unparalleled romance and drama will be executive produced by Campanario’s Jaime Dávila and Ben Parrish. The U.S. version of The Bachelor has become an internationally recognized franchise, with local-language versions being produced in more than 28 territories around the world. “There are few franchises in the reality space that are as recognizable and successful as The Bachelor. No matter where you were born or what language you speak, the quest for true love is something that we can all relate to. We are looking forward to getting production underway and sharing this incredible concept with the Mexican audience,” said Jaime Dávila, president of Campanario Entertainment.In The Bachelor, one lucky man gets a shot at finding true love as a group of bachelorettes compete to win his heart. The series takes viewers along on the ultimate courtship as the bachelor eliminates candidates—who will do whatever it takes to impress him and stay in contention—week after week. Flirting, intense competition between the women, and heartfelt emotion culminate in the eligible bachelor’s proposal to the final bachelorette. The host and bachelor for the Mexican adaptation will be announced.
