Jaime Dávila, president of Campanario Entertainment, said the company wants to do things differently and ride the momentum built by Camelia La Texana. “We are excited to be able to place the product on Netflix in Mexico and on Telemundo in the U.S.,” Dávila told PRODU.He said there are several projects in development and in negotiations. “We have a project from Korea: a new telenovela with the creators of Violetta in Argentina. We’re working with other bands to develop their songs into telenovelas like we did with Camelia La Texana and Los Tigres del Norte. We’re also beginning to develop content in English for Hispanics in the U.S.; we want to find the perfect products for them,” he added.Dávila said there are many companies like Hulu and Amazon and general market channels, which want content for Hispanics, but have not found the right product for them and Campanario is working on that.“We’re storytellers. There are products that work better in Spanish, others are better in English and others work for both worlds. We’re looking for stories like these, that appeal to both markets,” he added.
