The Spanish TV drama Isabel is having its final episode on Sunday, June 26 at 11pm on Canal 22 Internacional.The series about the reign of Queen Isabel and King Ferdinand in the 15th century will come to a close after 39 episodes. Although, Isabel is a fictional TV series, it is a representation of one of the most important eras in Spains history. Isabel has been praised for the acting of Michelle Jenner and Rodolfo Sancho in the role of Queen and King, as well as its historical accuracy and attention to detail, ranging from the costumes and sets to the authenticity of the scripts.The finale will deal mostly with Isabels last days and will show a queen so strong that she spends every waking hour putting everything in order.The series won the National Television Prize (2014) and Michelle Jenner was named Best Actress (2013) for the Ondas Prize. Isabel also received Best Series awards at the Hamburg Festival and the New York Festival. The production has been broadcast in several countries of the Americas, such as the US, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Uruguay.
