Diversos Somos was launched on September 2 at 8pm
Canal Once presented Diversos Somos, a documentary miniseries (6×30´) that aims to encourage inclusion, respect and tolerance in society through testimonies of people from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTTTI) community.
The program develops in the stars’ private and public spaces, such as their domestic environment, their work, and recreation places.
In the event, the coordinator of Canal Once, Luis Garzón, commented: “Diversos Somos will help TV viewers to put themselves in other human beings´ shoes, in their day-to-day. We are very proud to be the first TV company to cover these topics with this approach and without any false embarrassment”.
For his part, Alejandro Andrade, director, and producer of the series commented on the initiative of Canal Once: “It is urgent to have this type of space since we live in times in which TV can open up to these topics and do so with empathy”.
To end, the host of Canal Once, Fernanda Tapia, expressed that “with this series Canal Once breaks a history of invisibilization towards this sector of the population, because seeing the screen stories that are distanced from a tabloid, ghoulishness, and stigmatization, contributes to the education of more critical and reflexive audiences.”
Diversos Somos is co-produced with Pisito Trece. It was launched on September 2 at 8pm, and will be aired on Saturdays on Canal Once´s open signal.
