On the occasion of the Olympic Games in Tokyo next year, Caracol Televisión has started a new project: Sueños de Oro.
An intense story of struggle and achievement, based on true facts on the life of three athletes who reached Olympic glory. This is the story of three Olympic athletes from very low income families. In a way that was as casual as it was premature, Yuri Alvear, Íngrit Lorena Valencia and Óscar Luis Muñoz grow practicing judo, female boxing and taekwondo, respectively, three sports that, not having relevant economic sponsorship, force those who practice them to win in order to be acknowledged.
They will show how talent that leads to success is polished and how three warriors who do not rest until they reach the Olympic podium, because achieving their goals means being at peace and safe with their own expectations, build a better future and carry three dysfunctional families forward.
Lisette Osorio, International Sales VP at Caracol Televisión, commented about this new project: “Caracol remains at the forefront, identifying big market opportunities. We have always found in massive sports events a window to give light to the stories that talk about the big struggles behind fulfilled dreams. Sueños de Oro is a biographical novel that will shine in the international market with an inspiring message.”
The production stars José Ramón Barreto, who after playing the role of Bolivar in the successful Caracol series, returns with a character who will steal TV viewers´ hearts. Paola Valencia (Tarde lo Conocí) and Mayra Luna (Siempre Bruja and Los Briceño) will accompany him in the leading roles.
