The series Pablo Escobar, El Patron del Mal, produced by Caracol Televisión will be released on Monday, July 12, at A&E for all of Latin America.

For this launch, Caracol Televisión and A&E have prepared a virtual event on July 9 that will bring together production talent, and 200 journalists have been invited to participate in a press conference that will close this historic meeting. The gathering also includes stars of the show such as Andrés Parra (Pablo Escobar), Angie Cepeda (Regina Parejo), Christian Tappan (Gonzalo Gaviria), Cecilia Navia (Patricia Urrea), Juan Carlos Arango (Alias “El Mariachi”) and Nicolás Montero (Luis Carlos Galán).

“We are facing one of the most relevant productions, not only for Caracol but for the industry in recent years. El Patron del Mal is a series that transcended all genres and has become the benchmark for those who want to know, in the most accurate way, the life of a character that affected millions of people, not only in America but in the whole world. This series represents a document that will never lose its validity,” said Lisette Osorio, VP of International Sales at Caracol Televisión.

“After the success, we obtained with the transmission of Narcos and El Chapo, A&E is proud to be able to offer a super fiction production based on real events as iconic as Pablo Escobar: El Patron del Mal,” commented César Sabroso, SVP of Marketing, PR and Corporate Communication of A+E Networks Latin America.

The series, winner of 11 India Catalina Awards, including Best Series, has been sold to more than 180 countries and was chosen by the portal The Wit, specialized in information, trends and statistics on international television, as one of the 50 productions that changed world television. It tells the story of the most fearsome drug trafficker in history: his childhood, his adolescence, and all the way that led him to be the most wanted man in the 80’s and 90’s.
