Rai Com announced today it has appointed Castalia Communications as its distribution agent for its All’Opera productions in Latin America.
As part of the agreement, Castalia will arrange with cinema venues in Latin America to feature events from the All’Opera 2016/2017 season in HD and 4K with Dolby Surround sound directly from historic and renowned venues and locations in Italy, while in the comfortable setting of their local cinema.
“It is an honor to bring such a unique concept as All’Opera to Latin America, especially as it coincides with Castalia’s mission of always distributing quality content and, as an opera lover myself, it gives me tremendous joy to be part of this undertaking,” said Luis Torres-Bohl, founder and president of Castalia Communications.
Through the agreement with Castalia Communications, All’Opera will be able to enhance its current footprint to countries in Latin America, including Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Brazil.
All’Opera, in its second season, is the signature production of Rai Com that showcases the best Italian opera productions to cinema audiences all over the world. The distribution deal was closed during the first day of Mipcom.
