Miguel Torres-Bohl, Sales and Marketing VP for Latin America at Castalia Communications stated that in the context of the Convergencia Show they have presented the channel English Club TV, which has generated great interest and has already received comments from those who wish to acquire it. In fact, they are already closing an agreement in Mexico that they will soon announce.
“English Club TV is a relatively new channel, it was launched to the world in August 2008. It is an educational channel for the English language, which is a very important need to satisfy in Latin America, therefore, we think it will be extremely useful for TV viewers,” stated Torres-Bohl.
“We are at the Convergencia Show launching the idea and the suggestion for cable operators to get excited over obtaining not only the channel but also content for VOD and open for all the platforms,” he expressed, after commenting that more than one hundred countries currently broadcast the channel in Europe, Asia, the Middle East. “It is a hit because it helps people understand this language that is universal”.
He mentioned they offer packages for different levels: basic, intermediate, for children, or for business executives.
