CBeebies, BBCs preschool brand, introduces new programming blocks for Latin America and the US Hispanic market, designed to engage children in concert with their regular activities throughout the day. The new schedule adopts the approach pioneered by CBeebies in the UK, grouping content into four blocks: Tiempo de despertar (Get Set Go), Tiempo de descubrir (Discover and Do), Tiempo de jugar (Big Fun Time), and Tiempo de soñar (Bedtime Hour).Just like adults need that cup of coffee to start their engines, kids seek out fun, animated and colorful programming that pumps them up in the morning, said Dan Salerno, Vice President of Programming for Latin America and the US Hispanic Market. With this philosophy in mind, the Tiempo de despertar (Get Set Go) block, from 6am to 9am, includes very dynamic and exciting programs like Chloes Chloset and Wibbly Pig. The Tiempo de Descubrir (Discover and Do) block, running from 9am to 2pm, is designed to help children discover, explore, make, and create, with programs such as Numberjacks, Nina and the Neurons, and Get Squiggling. From 2pm to 7pm, the Tiempo de jugar (Big Fun Time) block lets kids play along with friends and family, and experience tons of surprise, entertainment, and fun through programs such as Garth and Bev, and Zigby and Finley the Fire Engine, CBeebies newest series that premiered on July 5th. In the Tiempo de soñar (Bedtime Hour) block, series such as Roly Mo, Tellytales, and In the Night Garden, highlight the block that runs from 7pm to 9pm.
