Mike Cavanagh, president of Comcast, announced this Friday a major restructuring at NBCUniversal where, among the moves, César Conde, current Chairman of NBCUniversal News Group (NBC News, CNBC, MSNBC, and NBC News Now) will also oversee NBCUniversal Local and Telemundo Enterprises. Beau Ferrari, Chairman of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, will report to Conde.
In addition, Susan Rovner, who previously held the position of Chairman of Entertainment Content at NBCUniversal Television & Streaming, leaves the company and will be replaced by Donna Langley, promoted to Chairman of the newly created NBCUniversal Studio Group and Chief Content Officer.
Langley will now oversee Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (Universal Pictures, Focus Features and DreamWorks Animation) and Universal Studio Group (Universal Television, Universal Content Productions, Universal Television Alternative Studios and Universal International Studios).
Mark Lazarus, former Chairman of NBCU Television & Streaming, becomes Chairman of the new NBCUniversal Media Group, where he will lead NBCU’s TV and streaming platforms, distribution and monetization.
