César Conde, president of Univision Networks, hinted to PRODU that he would be announcing at the NY upfront on May 19th the launch of three new channels: the already mentioned 24-hour news channel, one dedicated to telenovelas and a sports channel.In the first video interview granted to media since his appointment as president of Univision Networks 18 months ago, Conde also commented on the construction of two new HD studios at the company’s facilities in Miami, which are scheduled to be completed by 2012.He also said that with the Televisa deal, Univisión had acquired the remaining 50% of TuTV, company owned by Televisa and Univisión, which handled all Televisa cable channels in the U.S. Univisión now owns 100% of TuTV.
