In the last 24 months, CIC Media has grown exponentially with the docuseries in English as their main pillar and soon with fiction and entertainment products as well.
Marlon Quintero, General Director of CIC Media, mentions that the next show to be released is Race to Victory (6×60’) that was commissioned by A+E Networks from the UK for History and that will have its debut on May 8 at 9pm (in the US and Latin America they are still evaluating the sales). The series was ordered by Dan Korn, Programming VP at A+E Networks, and produced by Charlotte Fisher, Cristina Irazábal, Quintero and Owen Morgan on the CIC Media team.
The second docuseries also ordered for History, is Secret Wars Uncovered (5×60’), that will be launched on June 26. The third project is the second season of Deadly Disasters for BBC Earth (the first season is already on NatGeo LatAm).
Quintero highlighted that they advanced with the remote work logistics more than three weeks ago in the light of what was already happening in Italy and England. The company, with offices in Mexico, Miami, London, and Caracas, moved their entire personnel to their homes. “We were able to do it in record time before the other territories were closed. It did not affect our workflow and helped to maintain the response capability intact,” he said.
CIC Media also offers finished material, such as Oh My Pet (52×30’) from Hitsbook, to channels in Latin America that have content needs. “We can help them generate programming in times of crisis,” he added.
