Cinelatino’s exclusive U.S. television premiere of Mexican blockbuster A la Mala on Sunday, February 10, 2019, was the second highest-rated Spanish-language cable program from 9-11pm among Adults 18-49, according to Nielsen.
The movie’s 9pm showing delivered 60k Adults 18-49, outperforming every other Hispanic cable network aside from Galavision—including Discovery en Español, Fox Deportes, Univision Deportes, and beIN Sports en Español, as well as several broadcaster networks like Estrella and Azteca.
“The power of our unique and premium content is reflected in our ability to outperform networks with subscriber bases ten times larger than Cinelatino by programming blockbuster movies and stunting them on weekends and holidays when Latino families are gathered together,” commented Alan J. Sokol, president and CEO of Hemisphere Media Group, the network’s parent company. “We have an unprecedented lineup of box office hits slated to premiere in 2019, and we are confident we will continue to deliver outstanding ratings.”
