Venevision USA, Cisneros’ pay TV signal launched in the US Hispanic market in February this year, has several original titles to launch in 2018.
“We are going to choose three, that are the ones we are going to work for next year to incorporate into Venevision USA. We have been in Cox since February, in September we will launch in DIRECTV. This puts us in a very interesting portion of the market. We are preparing for the Miss Venezuela pageant that we will air in direct to the US on Thursday, November 9 at 6pm ET, a joint broadcast with Venezuela. Additionally, this month we are going to launch Entre Mi Amor Y Tu Amor as the first sale for the American market,” expressed Carlos Cabrera, Pay TV Affiliate Sales director at Cisneros Media Distribution.
Another important project that Cisneros is working on for the signal Venevision USA, is to have correspondents for coverages from across the US to develop topics that will be fun.
“The target of Venevision USA are Latinos. Cisneros as a group has been producing content for more than 50 years and this content has reached the 21 Spanish-speaking countries and has been successful in each one. All these countries converge in the US as Hispanics, so, our content, despite being made by Venezuelans, reaches every nationality and crosses borders. Our previous experience producing for Univision allows us to have a super big international content library that we know works well in the US,” he mentioned.
