After the great reception of the productions of the children’s division of Cisneros Media with projects such as Zoofari for Nickelodeon US and Nick Jr. Latinoamérica; as well as Opa Aventuras for Nat Geo Lab, the company is focused on developing original properties in this area, to be able to sell them to multiple windows and build their own catalog.
“Right now we are hyper-focused on generation alfa (children born after 2010) and in digital content, even if it is for linear,” adds Ailing Zubizarreta, VP Creative Services and Content Development at Mobius.Lab Media. She highlighted that they are developing several concepts, one titled Dino it all (Dinolotodo), with outstanding illustrators and AnimalFanPedia, that is available both in English and in Spanish. It consists of 26 episodes (two seasons of 13×11’). They will also offer Dino Bites (60×60’) and Wowzu! (52×7’), all available in HD and 4K.
Zubizarreta also announced that they would start to represent third-party children’s programming. The MIPJunior and Mipcom markets will be the first to know these new contents and in 2020 will take them to Kidscreen and other important international markets.
She highlighted that the Mobius.Lab productions made in agreement with Boat Rockers, Comida Pop, Linajes Malditos, Instintos Asesino, and Tierra Misteriosa, are available in Spanish in 6×60’ or 13×30’ formats.
In total, they will take eight factual Mobius.Lab productions to Mipcom. The most recent are La Ciencia Detrás De… (7×60’), Fuera De Este Mundo (6×60’) and Zares De Los Autos (6×60’).
