Sergio Pizzolante, managing partner of CTMOBS announced they have partnered with Fania and Sony Music Latin to produce the TV series Sangre Nueva.

Jorge Granier (Jane The Virgin, Nicky Jam: El Ganador), will executive produce through his Aquarius TV Banner and added: “Fania’s contribution to the interest in Latin artists in unmistakable, a direct line can be traced from today’s LatinX movement to the rise of Salsa in 1960’s NYC”.
“This is an exciting opportunity to pay tribute to Fania’s artists and to introduce some of salsa’s all-time greatest hits to new audiences,” said Fania CEO Stuart Livingston.
“Fania and its artists have made an enormous impact on Latin music that is still felt today. We’re proud to be part of a project that will help preserve this important piece of our musical heritage by keeping it alive and relevant,” expressed Sony Music US Latin president Nir Seroussi.
The series is an original concept by Mauricio Arcas, a former member of Los Amigos Invisibles, Sergio Gómez (Orígenes) and Jorge Granier. Mauricio Arcas, Aurora Ramírez, Sergio Gómez and Jorge Granier will also serve as executive producers.
