Among the most recent content sales closed by Arturo Chávez, managing partner of DelArt Distribution, are a second agreement with ViX for 74 films (including Vidas Violentas, Un Amor de Película, and Sangre de Mariachi) all integrated into the platform and a third for 40 films with Meruelo Media of Los Angeles, through Sarah Millán, director of Programming from KWHY Channel 22.
“We closed a total of four agreements with platforms,” Chávez pointed out.
In addition to ViX, DelArt Distribution closed three agreements with streaming platforms: with Butaca.TV in the US of My Code Media, which acquired 50 titles (among them Guatemala 1982, ¡Ni Te Me Acerques!, Bajo un Manto de Estrellas, El Arribo de Conrado Sierra y Cuidando el Territorio); with Canela.TV for 40 films through Yahayra Films; plus 50 films for a fourth platform yet not disclosed.
“During the Malaga Festival, we closed an agreement to represent the films of Soul Pictures led by Liliana Bravo Bitar, a Barcelona distributor. This DelArt Distribution representation covers the US and Latin American territories. They are first-window movies for OTT and SVOD platforms as well as TV,” he added.
The company will also represent the catalog of Spanish films from Cine Andalucía by Ezekiel Montes y Socios. Some of its titles are El Intercambio, Seis y Medio, Akemarropa, La Primera Cita, and La Reina de Tapas.
Some of the films acquired by Meruelo Media are El Tráiler de la Muerte, Digan Lo Que Digan, Morelos, Cuernavaca, and Campeones.
