Diosual Entretenimiento, based in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo and led by CEO and founder Guto Colunga, has sold the first synopsis for a primetime telenovela to TV Globo: Três Graças (Three Graces), by renowned, two-time Emmy-winning author Aguinaldo Silva. Silva will return to TV Globo to write the entire work, with its primetime premiere planned for 2026.
Silva is the author of Império (2014), which won the Emmy for Best Telenovela in the World in 2015 and was the script supervisor for Laços de Sangue (2011), a Portuguese SIC production co-produced with TV Globo, which also won an International Emmy in 2011.
Silva is known for hits like Fina Estampa (2011) and Senhora do Destino (2004). His last telenovela for TV Globo was O Sétimo Guardião (2018). After leaving TV Globo, Silva partnered with Diosual Entretenimiento to develop new series and telenovela projects for the Latin American market.
“We are confident the audience missed Aguinaldo Silva, and soon we will enjoy a fantastic story. Três Graças (Three Graces) tells the story of a family made up of a grandmother, mother, and granddaughter, all of whom became pregnant as teenagers and had to raise their children alone, without the children’s fathers. For this reason, the first two had to give up their dreams. It’s a highly relatable story, and we always aim to develop projects that resonate with the audience. The story received great praise from Globo executives and will undoubtedly be a major investment, as we believe it will become a classic of Brazilian drama,” Colunga told PRODU.
Silva returns to TV Globo to write his first telenovela developed outside Globo Studios, which Diosual oversaw through its development and negotiated with TV Globo.
The new telenovela is scheduled to premiere on Globo in 2026. Before that, a remake of Vale Tudo and a new telenovela by O Clone (2001) author Glória Perez will debut. Then, it will be Silva’s turn with Três Graças (Three Graces).
