The streaming service Disney+ belonging to The Walt Disney Company was launched on Tuesday, November 12 in the US, Canada, and the Netherlands.
They have almost 500 films and 7,500 television episodes from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more, of original content ready to be enjoyed by users.
“The launch of Disney+ is a historical moment for our company that marks a new age of innovation and creativity,” commented Robert A. Iger, president and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, who added that the platform offers an exceptional entertainment experience, “presenting our library of beloved films, television series and exclusive original content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic”.
Most of the new episodes of each series will be launched on Fridays at 12:01am (Pacific Time) starting November 15.
The next launch of Disney+ will be in Australia, New Zealand, and Puerto Rico on Tuesday 19; and on March 31, 2020 it will reach the markets of Western Europe, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, among others.
During the day of the launch, some users reported that the platform was presenting failures to allow access or for certain contents, which the company attributed to the fact that the demand exceeded their expectations.
