Aside from Hernán Cortés, to be launched in November 2019, Dopamine is preparing other productions which will shoot next year.
During Convergencia, Fidela Navarro, CEO of Dopamine, explained that in the next few days they will know who else will join the airing of the series. Amazon already acquired the rights for Spain and Latin America. “Hernán has the peculiarity that it will be on different platforms at the same time.” The second season of Cortés is being written and will start shooting in January 2020.
The executive also spoke about Amarres (10×45´), a story written by Fernanda Eguiarte, who is additionally, the showrunner of the series.
Amarres already began shooting and is planned to be launched in the second quarter of 2020. “The entire development is an original idea by Gabriela Valentán from Dopamine”. With Plano a Plano they are also working on Niños de Morelia and another project for a series in Spain.
During 2019 “we have worked on an average of 15 developments”. These include Hernán; another for Turner, which they will finish this year and in Argentina, they are soon going to start the production of Tu Parte del Trato”, a thriller starring empowered women, created and developed by Dopamine and produced by Polka.
The other project with Turner is Coyotl, “a story to be developed in the border with the US, where we will see wolves against coyotes. It is a different way to tell and address the current problems and topics for a younger audience.”
Regarding the venture into OTT, Navarro assured that they all have their audiences and “if it is well designed, everybody wins”.
