Just 10 years ago there was almost nothing in Mexico, but today it is the opposite, said Joshua Mintz, Mexican, currently CCO of Dori Media, and living in Jerusalem, Israel.
“The Mexican market is living an incredible moment. It has a great production capacity, with very talented people and with many resources to produce. I remember that not long ago, about 10 years ago, Mexico had an extremely limited production capacity, to one, two producers and two television channels. What is happening now is wonderful. Many young people with great talent. The size of the country, the geography, the architecture of the different cities of the country, allow you to do whatever you want, from Cortés to simulating France, for example. It does not matter what moment in the history of Mexico you want to tell, you can go to San Luis Potosí, or to Guerrero, or Baja California, Mérida … it is a country with a lot of diversity in locations,” he told PRODU.
“Mexico is destined to continue growing,” he added. “Hopefully the government will help us, not in economic matters, but in the permits that are needed, the appropriate assistance. Let the government realize that the productions will only bring benefits for Mexico. We all know that the countries that invest in content production translate in money that returns to them in different ways.”
