With over 28 million subscribers, Enchufe.TV is the largest Spanish-language comedy sketch channel on YouTube. Earlier this year, Elefantec Global partnered with 2bLatam, the channel’s owner, to co-produce content tailored to Mexican audiences. The goal was to strengthen its presence in Mexico by adding local flavor to scripts, actors, and themes.
At MIP Cancun, Hugo Tapia, Elefantec’s Business Development Director, announced an expanded deal aimed at the U.S. Hispanic market, home to 50 million potential viewers. The agreement includes creating Enchufe.TV content for Latinos in the U.S. and exploring further expansion into key markets like Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Peru.
NEW SERIES AND FILM PROJECTS
The partnership will go beyond YouTube sketches, creating a “content lab” to develop intellectual properties like series and films. These projects will expand Enchufe TV’s reach to streaming platforms, traditional media, and other formats.
FOCUS ON BRANDED CONTENT
Enchufe.TV will leverage its humor and storytelling to create branded entertainment that seamlessly integrates products into sketches. This approach aims to enhance emotional connections with consumers, especially among the 18-35 demographic, while showcasing strong ROI for advertisers.
Tapia emphasized humor’s timeless appeal in driving consumer engagement and brand loyalty: “We create narratives around a brand’s values, turning its benefits into comedic highlights to captivate audiences.”
This partnership marks a bold step for Elefantec and 2bLatam, combining creativity and strategy to expand Enchufe TV’s global presence.
