Endemol Shine International brings to MIP Cancun a mix of great productions and iconic titles.
“We have a good balance between great productions and iconic brands. You must get that immediate recognition from the buyer so that he knows what you are able to achieve. It’s a trend that is growing in the region, that’s why we are taking shows like Nicky Jam and La Catedral del Mar (8×60 ’), both hits scripted on Netflix. In non-scripted we are offering Lego masters that will be available both the can and the format and the eternal hit, MasterChef that already reached 17 versions in Latin America this year” commented Veronique Verges, SVP for Latin America and the US Hispanic of Endemol Shine International.
She informed that they already have several seasons of Lego masters, being the most recent the one that will be produced in the US. “Latin America has a lot of interest in both the format and the finished product,” she said.
Other novelties in non-scripted are Your home make perfect and the new season of Extreme makeover, home edition that is broadcasted by HGTV USA and Discovery in LatAm. “The next window we are looking for is open TV,” she said.
Regarding La Catedral del Mar, which was already bought in Ecuador, was negotiated for several territories in Mipcom and there was a lot of interest from open TV channels in the region and conversations will continue in MIP Cancun.
Their portfolio includes also several short-form series from England, such as Deep Water (6×60 ’), Adult Material (4×60’) and Deadwater fell. She said that Peaky Blinders will have a fifth season by 2020.
At the end of the year, they have the Mexican version of Televisa of The Masked Singer. “It was sold in LatAm for the format.” They will also be offering in the region ¡Mira Quién Baila! for open TV.
