For the first time Mira Quién Baila (MQB), an Endemol Shine Boomdog format for Univision, is produced from Mexico at the Televisa studios and will be aired simultaneously on both networks.
According to Sergio Lazarov, VP of Production at Endemol Shine Boomdog, the company does its best for each edition of Mira Quién Baila to be bigger and more spectacular than the previous one.
“We are very excited and think we are going to reach an even larger audience. We are inaugurating a new forum, Televisa’s 2ndforum San Angel, that is spectacular. The surface of the dance floor is one of the biggest we have ever had and we also count on Televisa´s support and experience,” he explains.
The dance floor has the latest mapping technology with 180 thousand lumens, “that is an enormous amount of projectors that manage to turn the entire floor into a sort of video screen. This transforms the set in each performance and allows it to be an alive piece.” Additionally, they have a camera that moves around the ceiling, offering shots that had never been used before for MQB.
This edition will have fewer episodes: a total of eight. “The tension and emotion are starting off to the maximum. There will be a voting at the end of the first gala,” he mentioned.
He also said they are incorporating more situations for network fans who consume a lot of content and like to see the rehearsals, more reality with FB Live programs “to expand the viewer’s experience on the different platforms.”
