Álvaro Godoy, VP of Development at Endemol Shine Boomdog, said before Natpe that they were looking for a formula to hold an event to present their catalog to their clients. “What we want to do is compact our sales cycles and be able to introduce to everyone the new players in a broader presentation of our catalog, to then make appointments with the different clients and offer them a curatorship that is more adjusted to what we think each one is looking for,” he said.
He commented that knowing what clients are looking for at the moment is a challenge because it is a time of transformation in which, additionally, there are relevant changes in companies. It is not only that consumers want a certain type of content, but work teams in each company, as well as the needs each platform has, are changing.
Soon after these statements, Endemol Shine Boomdog’s Upfront was announced, which will take place between February 15 and 19. Some of the programs that will be presented are the game program in Spanish El Gran Juego de la Oca, as well as the original fiction series based on the life of Antonieta Rivas Mercado, that will include Susana López Rubio (El Tiempo Entre Costuras), as the writer, and will be produced by Gastón Pavlovich from Fábrica de Cine.
Godoy explained that in the context of Natpe, these meetings are not useful, due to, among other reasons, time zone differences between countries, which make it difficult to coordinate an online market. “The value of markets is quite presential, it has to do with meeting people face to face, as well as with networking”.
