Tapping into the experience and results achieved by Endemol Shine Brazil with the production of the format The Wall -both the local version and the ones for Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, and Chile- from the facilities in Brazil, the company is promoting this hub to make other formats for the region.
“We were not used to having a local production hub because we were fearful about the language and costs, but last year we were able to enter with The Wall for Latin America successfully, with quality, good prices and in Spanish. The hub system in Brazil works well,” expressed Juliana Algañaraz, General Manager of Endemol Shine Brazil.
The Wall is a production by SpringHill Entertainment and Glassman Media in partnership with Universal Television Alternative Studio. LeBron James, Maverick Carter, Chris Hardwick, and Andrew Glassman are the executive producers. The Wall was developed by Glassman Media together with CORE Media.
“We are working for these to become continuous services,” adds Algañaraz.
“There are many variables that must be taken into account when setting up a hub, and since this one for The Wall was a positive experience, we can infer that as a default, it can be applied to other formats,” mentioned Michelle Wasserman, Senior VP of Format Licensing and Content Development at Endemol Shine Latino.
Wasserman said that Canta Conmigo (All Together Now) could be the next hub. “We have two Latino countries that have licensed the rights, and after the positive experience with The Wall, the chances that this might happen are very high. Our partners have already gone through a successful experience in terms of logistics, production, and content, and it is everyone’s intention to repeat the experience with a new show like this one, and why not? a new season of The Wall,” she highlights.
