Since Michelle Wasserman, Senior VP, Format Licensing, and Content Development at Endemol Shine Latino moved to the Miami office, her work with Veronique Verges, Senior VP for LatAm and US Hispanic at Endemol Shine International, has become closer and more fluent.
“We have worked together for a while now. We get along very well. To be honest, nothing has changed in the way we work, but how we communicate did. We try to complement each other as part of a big group, but in different departments to obtain the best entries for our products and the best travel for each program,” explain Vergesand Wasserman.
For LA Screenings, the main shows they are taking are Harem, El Vato, Kingdom, Bounty Hunter, The Frankenstein Chronicles and Lego Masters.
Lego masters and The Wall are some examples of the products on which both executives are working closely. “Basically, most of our content can travel both in a finished program version or as a format. So we need previous work to be able to evaluate what would work better as a finished program or format and the most intelligent way to approach our clients,” they explain.
Regarding MasterChef, that is a very important franchise for the company, they highlighted that there are many new windows, “so we think that it is not only a matter of approaching a television or digital channel but that we must think of any spin-off. MasterChef is offered as a 360º brand. There are auxiliaries implicated in the brand, not just as content but as merchandising, recipes, cookbooks, publications. There are many categories that can be explored,” they added.
