Endemol Shine Latino will produce its first fiction series in the US Hispanic market. It is El Vato (13×60), which will be aired on NBC Universo and was presented in the networks Upfront.It tells the story of a Northern Mexican music singer who moves to Los Angeles due to the success of his career. According to what Daniel Rodríguez, executive co-VP at Endemol Shine Latino, explained to PRODU, what is appealing about El Vato is that it mixes fiction with reality, since the star of the series, El Dasa, is also a renown singer in real life. The production will start at the end of 2015 to be launched in 2016.He also gave details about the first Hispanic version of the Big Brother that will be aired by Telemundo. The first auditions will begin mid-June, to start in 2016. They will have robotic and last-generation cameras, as in the version that they are preparing for Televisa in Mexico, which will be aired again after 10 years.Rodríguez advanced that the Mexican version will have new challenges and stories that are more fun and greater interaction through the screen and social networks.Additionally, they have the MasterChef production for Azteca, produced by Cristina Palacio that will debut June 28th and the second season of A Todo o Nada, which, unlike the first one, will be shot in the channel’s studios.
