Looking for a screen in Latin America, Entertainment One brought to LA Screenings The Rookie spin-off, entitled The Rookie: Feds, a new show that will soon premiere on ABC US.
“This spin-off has generated great interest and expectations during the market, in part due to the success of The Rookie, with very good results in Latin America where it has already had several seasons in the region. This time Niecy Nash will be starring and it looks very appealing,” said David Hanono, VP of Sales for Latin America, Entertainment One.
Nash plays Simone Clark, the oldest FBI trainee. The cast also includes Frankie Faison as Christopher “Cutty” Clark and Felix Solis as Special Agent Matthew Garza. The show is a co-production between Entertainment One and ABC Signature.
Hanono added that they have held meetings for several businesses with Latin American partners, and are also making new productions with Hasbro, which is their current parent company since 2019, including several feature films.
“The market is quite crowded. Honestly, after the pandemic, everyone wants to go out and I see it quite busy, better than expected,” said Hanono about the LA Screenings.
