Enrique Guillén, Chief Content Officer of Estrella Media, who has been with the company for seven months, told PRODU that in June they will release a new block of live programming in prime time with the trademark values of Estrella TV entertainment, comedy, contest shows with audience and news. During the virtual presentation of Estrella Media’s Upfront, scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, Guillén will offer more details.
“We are increasing significantly the volume of premiere episodes. We are executing a dual content strategy: originals and licensed content. We have an agreement with TV Azteca, which has already been announced, where we license three of their most popular shows —Venga la alegría, Al Extremo, and Ventaneando. In addition, we will make new original programming anchored in our Tengo talento, mucho talento franchise, with renovated sets built on world-class studios,” Guillén commented.
He highlighted that they are “hyper-focused on the Mexican community, offering the best of Estrella TV: irreverent, non-condescending, relevant and reflective of our audience. We have a very differentiated voice.”
