Latin America is a key region for the development of the Euronews brand and audience. “The expansion of our channels to new territories such as Honduras, Salvador, Paraguay, and Guatemala will be an important success factor for our media in the future,” expressed Sarah Mimouni, Manager of Distribution for Latin America and Out of Home (OOH) at the channel.

Mimouni recalls they renovated the channel, creating a complete offer around news in the chosen language. “We will continue to offer more local content, in VOD and live TV with text, video, and offers centered on mobile devices on the TV”. They will also continue to strengthen OTT and streaming distribution, as well as work hand in hand with the main TV players in the region to reach custom-made content proposals and commercial models.

She added that in time they will further strengthen their content syndication offerings by working on daily news bulletins and distribution of evergreen content on the lineup, website or the platform of media partners through content partnerships.

Mimouni pointed out that Euronews has a VOD library that offers its partners exclusive access to premium content that covers specific topics, ranging from trips to culture, technology, lifestyle and sports, green news, and business. “All our contents are available in different formats, including the abbreviated format, which is very comfortable for users since it is available at any time of the day. By being flexible, we can offer our content in different business models: SVOD, AVOD, and TVOD” she explained.

Euronews is present in the streaming universe with connected devices and OTT platforms in the region and globally with Samsung TV+, Roku, Pluto TV, and Rakuten, among others. “Our live signal in Portuguese, Spanish, and English generates 1.5 million monthly hours of viewing only on these platforms” detailed Mimouni.

Another area in which Euronews is concentrating its efforts is out-of-home (OOH). “Airports, restaurants and public transportation, among others, are natural places where our content can be watched”. Additionally, they are very focused on expanding Campus, a content offer dedicated to schools, institutions, e-learning platforms, and universities.
