Eva Longoria presented, from the Disney headquarters in Los Angeles, the pilot of the version of the series Grand Hotel, of which she is the Executive Producer.
The series is produced by ABC Studios and will have 13 one-hour episodes, written by Brian Tanen, who was also at the presentation. The stars of Gran Hotel are the Mexican Demián Bichir and the Puerto Rican Roselyn Sánchez.
“The story is based on the Spanish Bambú series that has the same title but is entirely reinvented. It has different characters and different stories. We are doing the production in Miami, and the audience will not be able to stay away from the screen and will want to be part of the vacations they live at the hotel,” said Tanen.
Grand Hotel is about the story of the Mendoza family, who have a luxury hotel in Miami Beach: “As a Latina producer, I am proud to make a series on Latinos that isn’t about drugs or cartels, but about the reality of many Latinos in Miami, that is tourism,” commented Longoria.
“The series was shot at the Fontainebleau Hilton in Miami Beach, the venue was the NATPE are held annually,” added Leonardo Aranguibel, Production Director at Disney Media.
