Factoría, owned by Henneo, one of the most important communication groups in Spain, teamed up with Litopos, of Juan Maldonado, to produce a reality competition in the natural world, with a plus of an immersive part in the metaverse.
“With Litopos we are also working on formats to present them both in Spain and Mexico and globally. We want it to be a natural collaboration, and not force content because we are located in Mexico and Spain. We’re talking about the content that we think could travel and in which we will be betting on,” said Óscar Molina, Director of Business Development of the Audiovisual area, Henneo.
Molina, together with David Fernández, Head of Fiction, noted that after consolidating in the Spanish market, they now seek to expand internationally, for which they are committed to this strategy of alliances.
Fernández added that they are looking for partners in Latin America, due to the talent in this market, and the need for projects that travel. “I am from the Canary Islands, so the transition between Spain and Latin America is natural for me. It seems to me that Latin America, where I have been working since 2018, is one of the markets where the most interesting projects are developed. On the other hand, Spain has 30 years making fiction , so we believe that we can add value here and learn a lot from the creatives of Latin America,” he said.
They are already developing for ViX together with Dramax, a very ambitious period project to be produced in Colombia and with a great story behind it. Fernández is the head of the writers’ table, which includes Colombian screenwriters Juan Granados and Tatiana Andrade. They are also working on a series for Televisión Española. And advanced in conversations with Caracol Televisión during Mipcom. “We have generated projects that are interesting to the market,” said Fernández.
