Felipe Osorio: We're enhancing Canela News with a new presenter, a longer format for more in-depth analysis, and a growing network of U.S. journalists
Canela Media heats the mornings with Café con Canela, its first-ever lifestyle show. The program targets women and families, offering engaging content while creating a prime advertising space for brands in this key demographic, says Felipe Osorio, Senior VP of Content Verticals.
Canela News is getting a significant upgrade, according to Osorio. “We’re enhancing Canela News with a new presenter, a longer format for more in-depth analysis, and a growing network of U.S. journalists. This will allow for more competitive in-depth coverage,” he said.
Osorio provided more specifics about the co-production with MARCA for the Lionel Messi program. “We’re co-producing a new, premium awards show specifically for the Hispanic market. There’s a clear void after other network awards ended, and we believe this co-production model is the perfect way to fill it. The show will feature winner interviews, a red carpet, and much more – it’s a truly exciting venture.”
The deal with Hemisphere Media expands Canela’s slate with five new drama films in 2024, focusing on genres popular with Hispanic audiences, like romantic comedies.
He added that through the agreement with Hemisphere, this year five new drama films will be presented, rom.com, with genres that Hispanics like. “What excites me most is the bigger casts for this year’s films. We have stars like Marjorie De Sousa, Allan Tacher, Alicia Machado, and more joining the lineup.”
