Diego Lerner, president of Disney Latin America, announced a new regional structure that comprises Disney, ESPN and FOX. These executives will assume responsibilities according to business areas, geographic areas, and service areas.
The business areas will be: In-home, that include all forms of linear and non-linear home consumption, and Out-of-home, linked to experiences for big audiences in movie theaters, live shows and music.
The In-home team will be led by Lerner, who will be Head of In-Home. He will be accompanied by Fernando Barbosa, until now senior VP and general manager of Disney Media Distribution, who will be general manager of Media Networks, and responsible for all the local productions and the distribution of television content. He will work together with Lerner in handling all the channels.
Guillermo Tabanera, former-ESPN, as general manager of Media Networks for the South Cone and the Caribbean, and Carlos Martínez, former-FOX, as general manager for the North and Brazil at Media Networks, will also join the team. They will both handle affiliate sales and advertising sales in their respective markets and will collaborate in the area of programming and production.
Natalia Scalia will be Head of Direct-to-Consumer and responsible for the operations of Digital Media. For his part, Martín Iraola will be general manager of Out-of-home and will be in charge of all the movie theater, live shows and music activities.
