The final match between Brazil and Spain averaged 4.0 million Total Viewers 2+

Univision Deportes, the sports arm of Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, announced that its coverage of the final match in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup finale, in which Brazil defeated Spain to take the Cup, delivered the highest rated broadcast among the tournament’s 16 matches. Overall, the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup on Univision Networks reached 18.6 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned in to all or part of the tournament’s 16 matches, up +71% from the 2009 competition. The 2013 matches averaged 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 899,000 Adults 18-49 and 475,000 Adults 18-34 – growth of +99% among Total Viewers 2+, +91% among Adults 18-49 and +73% among Adults 18-34 versus the 2009 Confederations Cup. The final match of the FIFA Confederations Cup between Brazil and Spain was broadcast live on Sunday, June 30 from 6pm to 7:56pm on the Univision Network, averaging 4.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.4 million Adults 18-49 and 1.3 million Adults 18-34. Overall, 6.4 million viewers tuned in to all or part of the broadcast to see Brazil crowned as champion of the Cup.Earlier in the day, the third place match-up, broadcast live on Sunday, June 30 from 12pm to 2:47pm on Univision saw an average of 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 907,000 Adults 18-49 and 394,000 Adults 18-34 tune in to see Italy defeat Uruguay with 4.2 million viewers tuning in to all or part of the broadcast.
