Manuel Miguez, FOX Networks Group Latin America’s new executive director of Content Distribution for Latin America and US Hispanic said that one of their priorities is to place Turkish content that has had very good results in FOX Turkey, and also the formats of those stories.
“We are the number one channel in Turkey. We are making productions with the best production companies in that country, including Pastel Film,” commented Miguez, who highlighted that it is also a priority to place Latin American productions (scripted and non-scripted) as well as Nat Geo content, where the Company is investing in higher-quality productions, “which they have called Nat Geo 2.0”.
He also mentioned the offer made by BabyTV and US series. Regarding US Hispanic, Miguez highlighted that they want to secure businesses with the big companies in the market, such as Univision, Telemundo and Azteca America. “I cannot reveal anything just yet, but soon there will be Turkish FOX products on TV in the US,” he highlighted. Some of the Turkish series are Second Chance, Wings of Love and Number 309. “We have very strong Turkish production,” he mentioned. “Of course, we also want to position our formats in Latin America –such as Escuela para Suegras– aiming to find strategic partners in the channels in order to co-produce, find windows for our pay TV channels and create open TV windows: to have Mexican and Colombian versions, among others,” he said.
