FremantleMedia Latin America produces for MundoFox El Factor X

MundoFox announced that it will produce El Factor X, an original Spanish-language version of The X Factor, which will give U.S. Spanish-language viewers the opportunity to help choose the next young Latino superstar or breakout music group. The globally renowned music competition show is set to premiere on MundoFox this summer.Produced by FremantleMedia Latin America for MundoFox, El Factor X will give aspiring young singers the opportunity of a lifetime. The soon-to-be announced judges will travel to top cities in the U.S. searching for undiscovered talent from 8 to 15 years old, both solo artists and vocal groups. “With the massive success that The X Factor has had in the U.S. and around the world, we are absolutely delighted to launch the same format with a twist for U.S. Hispanic viewers. This format is very much aligned with the quality programming we look to provide to our MundoFox viewers,” said Adriana Ibáñez, EVP of Programming for MundoFox. “We are very excited to bring a global phenomenon like The X Factor to US Hispanic audiences in partnership with MundoFox. The X Factor format is owned by Syco, a global music, television and film production joint venture between Simon Cowell and Sony Music Entertainment.Auditions are set to take place in the following cities during the months of June and July: Los Angeles, California – June 8; New York City, NY – June 22 and, Miami, Florida – June 29.
