Coty Cagliolo, managing director, FremantleMedia Mexico, who has been in the industry for more than 25 years, was recently promoted to this new position in Mexico where she is responsible for creativity and development for the Mexican and Pan-regional markets.
“It is a challenge, we have a lot to do”. She is currently in charge of an average of three and four simultaneous projects; one at Caravana studios.
“One of the biggest challenges is to offer our fiction catalogue one again and start producing in that área”.
Although she assured she doesn’t know what lies ahead, she clarified it is necessary to constantly adapt to change.
Regarding trends, the executive explained that as everything in TV, “it comes in waves, trends come and go. After a stage in which entertainment became stronger, because it is less expensive than fiction, fiction is again recovering its place. Everything here in Mexico on primetime is dominated by fiction.”
They are currently developing entertainment that has to do with the World Cup for next year, and are in pre-production of a dating program for a pan-regional channel.
