Gema López, COO of Universal Cinergía Dubbing, said that nowadays their most frequent customers are streaming platforms due to the great demand for content and the continued increase of these outlets. “The consumer is viewing content so quickly that time, the way of delivery and also content itself are a challenge because it is global phenomena so it demands several languages: French, Russian, Danish. Taking that product and dubbing it into Spanish, Portuguese, and English is a challenge and an achievement,” said López during the celebration of the 10th anniversary of her company.
She announced that right now they are working on many premium projects, but they can’t reveal the titles yet. “Clients trust our quality more and more, and premium material continues falling into our hands.”
She was excited about their new office in Rio de Janeiro. “We are expanding and happy about this achievement. Liliam (Hernández her business partner) is a super dynamic person and much loved in the industry. We are thrilled about our new office,” López said.
The next step for the company is a consolidation and continuing to provide the quality of service that the client demands. “Dubbing has changed a lot, the service, the demands, the technology. We continue to be at the forefront of technology, but always doing so with the love of our team and our talent -professionals of many years- who are the raw material of our company,” she pointed out.
Liliam Hernández, CEO of Universal Cinergía will be at LA Screenings. “There is no technology capable of replacing face to face, meeting people, feeling close, that is how business is done and enjoyed. Happy that we can finally kiss and hug each other,” said Hernández.
“In a competitive world, it is wonderful that our customers are happy with our quality and service. I am super grateful to each client from the first to the last one. Beginning with Polar Star which gave us the opportunity and Telemundo with La Reina del Sur, and now with the new platforms like Amazon, Hulu, and Starz. They are all special. There is no small or large client, for us they are all special,” she pointed out.
