Suburbia has 8 episodes of 30 minutes, in HD
The suburb of Rio de Janeiro in the 90s. This environment of inequality and violence is the setting for the story of drama, love, and resilience, Suburbia, which Globo is taking to NATPE 2014 in Miami Beach. The miniseries tells the story of beautiful, sensual, and dreamy Conceição (Erika Januza) who, without losing her integrity, overcomes the barriers of a miserable past and, with her charms, is transformed into the muse of funk, a style of music typical of Rio de Janeiro, and ends up conquering the suburb of the city. Along the way, Conceição also wins over Cleiton (Fabrício Boliveira, Seize the Day), a young man driven by a desire for revenge which makes him cross the line between good and evil. The two live out a dramatic story of love, underlined by Cleitons jealousy and insecurity. On average, Suburbia impacted 18 million television viewers per day, reaching a total of 68 million Brazilians. Narrated with language that transits between the real and the poetic, the miniseries is set in a suburb boiling over with dreams and ideas, human passions, religious syncretism, the struggle of each person for survival, good and evil people. And where the sacred and the profane coexist.Suburbia has 8 episodes of 30 minutes, in HD.
