Grupo Globo informed its workers in a statement about the beginning of a new project that will unify the companies in a single “more agile and stronger company”.
The initiative includes TV Globo, Globosat, Globo.com, DGCorp and Som Livre. The statement was sent by the CEO Jorge Nóbrega and the project called “Uma Só Globo”, that will take three years, is directed by Rossana Fontenele, General Directora, Planning and Management at TV Globo together with the consulting company Accenture.
Fontenele will be appointed General Manager for Strategic Planning and Commercial Development and will be responsible for all the projects of this new initiative, effective as of October.
“We are making a big investment in our present and in our future, the next three years will be a period of great effervescence and many learning and growth opportunities for everyone,” concluded Nóbrega in the statement.
Globo already has other initiatives that follow the same strategy: The Sports Project, whose objective is to define a new management model for TV Globo and Globosat, and aims to integrate sports content production.
Additionally, they have the Intelligence and Digital Advertising Project, that aims to organize a central intelligence and commercialization area of the digital assets produced by TV Globo, Globosat and Som Livre; the OTT Globoplay, that will offer a unique distribution platform; and Single Technology, that will organize technology as a unique and integrated function.
The group´s journals and magazines are excluded from these changes.
