Given the expansion of new variants, the reluctance of part of the population to be vaccinated, and the lack of information about the effects of vaccines, Dr. Anthony Fauci will join a group of specialists and scientists to clarify doubts and answer questions on this subject in a talk that will be broadcast in Spanish on HITN TV on Monday, August 23 at 8pm ET/PT.
The new variants of COVID-19 have only spread, especially among the population who hasn’t been vaccinated yet, and with children and young people returning to school, as well as the lifting of confinement measures in the population, doubts are the common element among parents and teachers.
To provide truthful information to the Hispanic community, HITN, in partnership with South Florida PBS, will broadcast a one-hour special with public health experts to shed light on the current situation. The dialogue will be conducted by Dr. Michael Zinner, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of the Miami Cancer Institute, and Olga Villaverde. The panel of doctors and health experts is composed of:
• Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)
• Dr. Geeta Nayaar, Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Miami
• Dr. Kavita Patel, primary care physician, Mary’s Center; MSNBC/NBC Medical Analyst
• Dr. Carlos del Río, Executive Associate Dean, Emory University School of Medicine
