Guillermo Sierra, general director of TV and Digital Services at HITN, reported that Jim Henson’s team, creators of famous puppets such as the Muppets and Sesame Street, developed and delivered what will be their new pet and ambassador at all events, a Ray’s puppet, the stingray that is the image of Edye.
“We are making the debut of this Ray puppet here at Kidscreen and the affinity that this stuffed animal triggers with all customers is impressive. It is going to be our ambassador, and very soon it will be featured in content and in events for children or marketing. Ray came at a very good time for us, as we are experiencing great growth and expansion,” said Sierra.
In just three years since its launch, HITN has already managed to reach more than three million homes in Latin America and the numbers are increasing in new territories. “We have already launched in the US Hispanic market, and very soon we will be able to announce great content for that region.”
Sierra informed that in a few months, Edye will arrive in Brazil and that they already have the vast majority of their programs dubbed into Portuguese. “We consider Brazil a very interesting market. We believe that we can have an important position there” he concluded.
