The production of the second season of Mundo Salvaje con Ron Magill exceeded the expectations established by HITN, according to its executive producer, Laura Masnatta.
“Our goal was vastly exceeded. Out of the five large animals, we filmed four and saw different species. When we shot Animal Bites we had the chance to talk about conservation. We witnessed the liberation of a lion,” explained Masnatta.
The 10-episode series is a production by HITN and Off The Fence, that had the support of the South African production company Fort Films.
“We were three people who traveled with our cameraman and DP that is Renato Lombardi and there we had the support of a South African production company, Fort. We used three cameras, shot with a GoPro and a drone that was very useful to be able to approach animals and see their behavior from the air,” commented Masnatta.
“For me this was an incredible adventure, to travel to South Africa to make the second season of Mundo Salvaje. The first time we were in the Everglades and the natural worlds of Florida, but traveling to Africa to be near giraffes, elephants, lions was a very powerful moment for teaching people the wonders of nature,” expressed Ron Magill, presenter of the series who is also Comunicaciones Director of the Zoo Miami.
