Two productions, including Vuelve Temprano from Argos and El Capo from Estudios TeleMéxico; as well as the bioseries based on the life of Paquita la del Barrio by Sony Pictures Television, are the main fiction bets of the new signal Imagen TV by Grupo Imagen in Mexico.
“Imagen TV is a channel for the family, focused on women. The main dishes on our programming bar will be three newscasts and two teleseries in co-production with Argos. These productions are contents that the production company has made throughout 22 years of experience,” commented Olegario Vázquez Aldir, general director of Grupo Empresarial Ángeles, to the Mexican media outlet Expansión.
Vuelve Temprano is the adaptation of the telenovela by the same title, aired in 2014 on Chile’s TVN. Mario Cimarro, Gabriela de la Garza and Francisco de la O take part in the Mexican version, distributed by Telemundo Internacional.
El Capo, is a production by Estudios TeleMéxico, starring Mauricio Islas, Sara Maldonado and Plutarco Haza. It is the Mexican version of the Colombian series by the same title.
“We are betting on an open TV, with a different style that understands millennials, new consumption habits and society´s imperative need to be informed and the contrast with social networks,” he ended.
