Aurelio Valcárcel, Fiction and Entertainment director at Imagen TV, received Richard Izarra, Editor-in-Chief of PRODU, for an exclusive interview, to show the new headquarters of the channel, which starts broadcasting on Monday October 17 at 8pm, and to announce details of the programming they will offer.
The headquarters, still in remodelling, is almost ready and is the great multimedia production center of Grupo Imagen. For the channel it has six forums, between 900 and 1,000 square meters, and a height between 10 and 12 meters, equipped with the latest in technology.
They visited studio 2, where the live program Sale el Sol will be shot. It will be aired from Monday to Friday between 8am and 12m, with a 360º set, whose details were being polished.
Valcárcel spoke about the different productions they will have on their programming, that was worked with the contribution of Adriana Ibáñez, like the series Vuelve Temprano, made by Argos, which was finished a year ago, and two others that are in production: El Capo, in co-production with TeleMéxico and Paquita la del Barrio, with Sony/Teleset. Additionally, he mentioned that they have an array of projects to be evaluated, which they will inform about later.
He announced that El Capo will stand out, because of the actor Mauricio Islas´performance, that reveals a new professional stage, and because it is not a story about narcos. “The character is always fleeing, and he does it with his wife and his lover, so he faces difficult situations regarding his relationship with both women. It has a lot of black humor.”
