Shootings of the series Paquita La Del Barrio, currently aired at 8pm on Imagen Televisión, ended after seven months in locations in Mexico City, where stages of the Mexican singer’s life from the 1960s to the 1980s were recreated.
“At Imagen Televisión we have a commitment to broadcast positive values to our audience. Growth, strength and determination identify Paquita and we know that at the end of each episode our audience will reflect upon the positive messages,” commented Aurelio Valcárcel, Fiction Production director of the channel.
For Imagen Televisión and Sony Pictures Television, the recreation of the period between the 60s and 1985, as well as the costume, makeup, locations and even our everyday objects, were one of the biggest challenges, since they had an evolution throughout the plot.
The story is inspired on the life of Francisca Viveros Barradas, known as Paquita La Del Barrio, who is played by Andrea Ortega-Lee, unveils the loves behind the lyrics of her best songs.
