Imagina US: We’ll enter the Mexican market through telenovelas produced in multiple countries

Fernanda Merodio, senior director of Affiliate Sales and Marketing of Imagina US, said in an interview with PRODU during her first time at Canitec that within the Pasiones programming, presented in Mexico, they included productions from countries like Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Chile and Brazil, complimenting the existing demand for novelas in the country. Among the Latin American cable operators, the positioning for the Pasiones signal has been progressively growing in Colombia, ranking as sixth within the most seen channels, followed by Venezuela with the 16th spot and then Uruguay with the 26th. Pasiones is a multicultural channel dedicated to telenovelas that are produced in different Latin American countries, 24/7. Merodio spoke about his strategies for entering the Mexican market and mentioned HD transmissions, which according to her, has become a necessity and priority to in be included in the different cable operators. Merodio finalized her interview saying that the launch of Pasiones would come accompanied by the debut of the original version of El clon dubbed in Spanish and set for the seventh of August.
